To write a blog or not to write a blog?

Should I write a blog?

I’m quite visual, so I usually prefer to sharing my experiences through my photography. Sometimes I get a little lost in my own thoughts and forget to mention things… so should I write a blog in Seoul?

Also, I find the notion of writing a blog slightly scary and strange. Don’t get me wrong, I will happily share humorous anecdotes from my life with loved ones, but the idea of writing a blog openly on the internet evokes some feelings of anxiety and self-consciousness about sharing my thoughts.

I know everyone is generally an expert on themselves, so it should be pretty easy, right? But I don’t tend to share lots of details about my life. I like to hold a little back and retain an air of mystery… is writing a blog really for me?

Living in Seoul, though!

Admittedly I have been toying with the notion of writing a blog since I knew had been offered a teaching placement in Seoul, but the first few weeks in South Korea have been pretty hectic. Honestly, I have struggled to find the time to start to write a blog.  

From the moment I landed, I lost track of what day it is, and I’ve spent the last few weeks in a generally pleasant state of dazed bewilderment during my EPIK orientation, moving to my apartment in Seoul, and starting to teach at my school.

I really want to overcome my fears and write about some of the things that have happened. It’s already pretty clear to me that living in South Korea for the next year is going to be an unforgettable experience…

For those who know me, deciding which platform to use to write this blog has naturally taken considerable research time. I have finally chosen blogger, and I am trying to properly acquaint myself with all of the features available on this platform. I’m already a couple of weeks into my current adventure, so I will try to blog a little retrospectively.

Well, at least I’ve finally started to write a blog, I’ll try to gather my thoughts and add more soon…
